1. Not sure how I stumbled upon this book series by Potter Style, but it's amazing. I got the "Our Q&A a Day" version for couples; I thought it was a great idea especially since we had just gotten married and it would be a good way to chronicle our *early days*. As the name of the book implies, there is a question each day that each person answers. For the couples version, it asks questions like "Love is ____" and "What do you need the most from him/her?". The theory is that you'll answer the same questions for 3 years and see how the answers change over time. There are also versions for kids, college students, moms...

2. After using the same foundation for years, I thought it was time to branch out and try something new. I found Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation at a cosmetics shop and loved the consistency and coverage. It's matte, lightweight, and lasts most of the day without touchups. I found that it's also quite buildable so it can be medium to full coverage. It does it's job!

3. I've been using the Etude House Play Color Eyes Juice Bar palette for at least a year and have loved the mix of colours and pigmentation. As a gift for Christmas I got the Etude House Play Color Eyes Wine Party palette and have loved it just as much. Who wouldn't want to wear an eye shadow called "Camembert & Brie"?

4. I love having my nails done, but am trying to spare the monthly expense. I found Dashing Diva Magic Press press-on manicure and they're pretty great. Each pack is about $10 and has enough pieces to do two manicures which each last about a week. I've found that the nails look relatively natural and the adhesive doesn't completely wreck my nailbeds.

5. Vacation gave me a lot of down time, and I got sucked right into This Is Us. It's difficult to explain what is so appealing about a show that depicts mundane life, but it's just feels all around. It's been a while since I've watched a show that didn't have the thrill of something like murder, so a show about genuine human emotion is refreshing.

6. Our recent trip to the Olympics in Pyeongchang made me feel real weird about national pride and identity... but that's a topic for another time. It was so bizarre/awesome to have a huge presence of my home culture and Team Canada in my current culture. The availability of Molson Canadian and free poutine was the cherry on top of it all.
